Aeroborn is in Lille on 4/5 Feb 2026 as part of the Battery Competence Cluster – NL (BCC-NL) mission to the Battery Tech Expo France 2026.

The BCC-NL Mission

The Battery Competence Cluster – NL connects Dutch companies, knowledge institutions, and government organizations with European and global battery value chains. This mission to Lille brings together participants from across the Dutch battery ecosystem to engage with one of Europe's most dynamic battery manufacturing regions.

The mission includes the EU Battery Passport Conference and the Battery Tech Expo, offering opportunities to exchange knowledge and build connections with industry counterparts in France and beyond.

Europe's Giga-Valley

Lille sits at the center of what's becoming known as Europe's "Giga-Valley." Within 100km, five gigafactories are operational or under construction: ACC, Verkor, Envision-AESC, Tiamat Energy, and ProLogium. This concentration reflects Europe's push to build domestic battery production capacity and the broader industrial ecosystem forming around it.

As these facilities scale, questions around materials sourcing, supply chain resilience, and regulatory compliance under the EU Battery Regulation become increasingly relevant for the entire value chain.

Aeroborn's Participation

Aeroborn converts captured waste into advanced carbons for battery applications—a circular approach using industrial waste as feedstock. With operations in the Netherlands and Greece, and an R&D partnership with TU Delft on hard carbon for sodium-ion batteries, we're working to scale this technology toward commercial production.

The BCC-NL mission offers a valuable opportunity to connect with the companies and institutions shaping Europe's battery industry, and to explore how Dutch innovation can contribute to the emerging European battery ecosystem.
